Rip Rap
When you’re worried about property loss due to erosion, a procedure to not only beautify your shoreline but also stabilize your current embankment would be to install Rip-Rap.
Rip–Rap is either heavy stones, cobbles,
or boulders that are used on shorebanks to protect
against eroding causing wave scour. With the installation
of a filter cloth placed between the rip-rap and
the underlying soil, soil is prevented from penetrating
into or through the rip-rap.
